Florida Gulf Coast University Bound
Moorhead's Kelsey Jacobson has given a verbal commitment to Florida Gulf Coast University, a Division One school in Fort Myers, Florida. Jacobson is simply the best pure shooter in Minnesota, the state record holder in three pointers in a season (111). Jacobson can also run the point and is considered a team first player. Jacobson said, " Ever since I was little, my goal was to play DI and to finally reach
that goal makes it all worth it.”

gPrep: You made the decision to attend Florida Gulf Coast University
in Fort Myers, Florida. Is it a relief that you’ve made your choice?
Jacobson: “It’s kind of nice getting to go through the season without having any
pressure of trying to decide on what college. Now that I made my decision,
it’s gonna be a lot easier.”
gPrep: What went into your decision?
Jacobson: “The location was a big deal and I love how the girls down there played.
The coaching staff is great. And, the campus was amazing. It’s right next
to the ocean. It’s a great place down there.”
gPrep: Are you on cloud nine right now?
Jacobson: “Yep. Yes, I am. I’m so excited. It’s a great feeling, finally knowing where
I’m gonna go next year. It’s really great!”
gPrep: Division One. How important was that to you?
Jacobson: “Yea. Ever since I was little, my goal was to play DI and to finally reach
that goal makes it all worth it.”
