The all-time leading scorer at Crookston High School with over 1,600 points, Kamille Wahlin is the perfect point guard. Wahlin is lightning quick, with explosive moves to the basket. Wahlen shoots left handed. The senior point guard has been the floor general for Crookston since the 8th grade. What makes her the perfect point guard? Well, she is a coach on the floor. If you try to press her, she will blow-by you. If you lay off, she will knock down the outside shot. If you double team her, she will find the open person. If you foul her, she will knock down the free throws (90 % free-throw shooter in 2006).
If you try to trap her, she will split the trap and attack the paint. Wahlin’s quickness is a nightmare for defenders, trying to stay in front. The point guard is real shifty with a lot of straight-line moves to the basket. Look for Wahlin to make a lot of noise in her senior year. Wahlin is player of the year material.
