World class speed, that’s the make-up of Tyisha Smith. Smith is a terror on defense. She can pick pockets on back to back to back positions. She had double digits steals in several games over the summer. Smith takes the ball to the rack with power and speed. Smith worked on her outside shot all summer and has improved. Now defenders will have to honor her outside shot. Because of her blow-by moves and her ability to hit the 3-pointer, defenders will be at her mercy this upcoming season. Smith started every game last year as a freshmen for Minneapolis South, runner-up state champion.
