PLAYER PROFILE: Van Riper-Rose is a very dangerous shooter from long range. The sharp shooter's shooting range extends well beyond the three-point arc. And, her mid-range jumper is equally as deadly. She has a high release and needs very little daylight to get her shot off. For this reason, she should be accounted for at all times. And, she should be guarded by the opposing team's best perimeter defender. Van Riper-Rose is also able to shoot off the dribble as well as shoot coming off screens. Because teams will force her to work to get open, Van Riper-Rose will need to stay in tip-top-shape.
TO WORK ON : Van Riper-Rose should focus this summer on some off- the -dribble moves and ball handling as teams will focus on her outside shooting. She should also focus on taking it to the rack. This will add some balance to her game.
